Interesting audio cd and some violence included. Basicly a teenager Katniss's talents are put to the test when she voluntarily takes her younger sister's place.

The story is quite interesting and captivating. It kept me intrigued, but I was a bit disappointed with the attack of the mutts. Sorry, it was just too unbelievable and distracted from a pretty good story. I was very intrigued with the mind games that are continually going on. The psycho warfare and intrigue really makes the story. The narration is excellent and well done.

thank you soooo much girl on fire!! i look forward to reading them!!! bye bye!

I loved the book, and thought the audiobook would be something nice to try and knit to. Based on this audiobook experience I think I will stick to watching tv while I knit. While it wasn't a terrible experience, there are many parts that I found buggy - words are skipped or repeated or half skipped and repeated. Very frustrating to listen to!

Some good teen books Jenae, is the Divergent series ( only 2 books written so far) and the Matched Trilogy.

Really enjoyed it, though it is a bit violent at times. I hope there's a sequel.

I was aware that this story was targeted at a young adult audience but was neverthless disappointed at its shallowness and lack of substance. I was initially looking forward to seeing how the protagonist would deal with the obvious moral struggles that would inevitably occur. My curiosity was soon dashed when all situations that demanded any sort of dilemma or heart wrenching decisions were ever so conveniently eliminated by the author re-writing the rules of the game. This quickly became irritating as did the transparency of where the plot was going. No twists or turns for this one. It's somewhat concerning that such a mediocre piece of writing enthralled so many young people and created such hype.
